Sunday/Monday Posts - October 8th and 9th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Another week has gone by...it felt like it went fast.  Our weather continues to go between feeling like summer and feeling like fall, but that's alright.  At least it doesn't feel like winter :)

I'm really enjoying catching up with the "Brewing Trouble Mystery Series" by Joyce Tremel.  I'm up to book #3 and I'm hoping there will be more soon.  I'm a slow reader, though, so I only read a book and a half this week, but I'm enjoying them and that's what counts...I think :)

I did manage to finish up another reading challenge for the year.  I finished the 2017 Foodies Read Challenge.  So, I completed three challenges.  I still have a few more...with three of them being my own challenges that I host :)

I've been trying to keep up with my TV viewing.  It's not easy since the new season has begun, but I'm trying.  I did manage to take a break and go back to Netflix and finish watching the series Bloodline.  It was good, but these shows are always ending series with cliffhangers that will never be solved.  The writers sort of leave it up to viewers to interpret the ending their way.  I prefer closure, but that's alright.  I admit, I enjoyed the first season of this series better than the last two seasons.  They were kind of slow moving for me.  I'll probably take a break from Netflix now and concentrate on my regular shows for a little while.

As for my blog, I have quite a number of tours coming up.  Some review tours, some spotlights.  Some have giveaways, so check for those.

I'm hoping to do some more catching up on reading and TV watching this week.  I hope everyone has a great week and read many good books and watch great shows/movies!

  4. I kinda fizzled out on challenges this year. I'm on season two of The Gilmore Girls and I'm addicted. Wish I had watched it years ago, I LOVE it!. Like you, I haven't watched much of the shows I waited all summer for.

  8. Wow! Lots of great books you got there! I also hate it when a show ends on a cliffhanger and they never solve the main problem of the show.

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

  12. Phew! You have a lot going on in this post! I'd not heard of any of your new books, though Jill Shalvis is a familiar author to me. I need to try one of her books at some point. I hope you enjoy all of your new additions!

Tangled Up In Brew looks fun, as does The Wife Between Us.

  15. I read quite a bit despite a fairly heavy workload. I forget the time and then fall asleep after midnight! My reading is going to take a bit of a slow turn as going to Paris on Thursday. Such a long awaited trip.

  18. A Room with a View - such a clever title. One and half books sounds great to me, one of my goals was to slow my reading down this year and savour what I am reading!

  21. I've heard good things about the Brewing book series but haven't gotten to read them yet. They're high up on my TBR but you know how that goes. I always hate shows that end in cliffhangers. I don't even like to watch the season finale until I have the next season premiere! I'm not a fan of cliffhangers. Have a great week!
